The Mountain DR Brookings bathroom project was a transformative endeavor aimed at enhancing the functionality and aesthetics of a previously cramped and dimly lit space. Situated in a residential setting, the clients sought a redesign to make the bathroom more inviting and spacious.
The initial state of the bathroom was characterized by its limited space and a small vanity featuring only one sink. To address these challenges, the design approach focused on creating an illusion of openness and brightness. Light colors were strategically chosen for the walls, tiles, and fixtures to maximize natural and artificial light, giving the impression of a larger and airier space.
Mirrors played a crucial role in the design strategy, strategically positioned to reflect light and visually expand the bathroom. This clever use of mirrors not only added a touch of elegance but also contributed to the overall sense of spaciousness.
One of the key highlights of the project was the installation of a sizable granite bench in the steam shower. This addition not only introduced a luxurious and modern element to the space but also provided a practical and comfortable spot to enjoy the shower, particularly on cold rainy days. The choice of granite not only added a touch of opulence but also ensured durability and easy maintenance.
